CAKE DESIGNER OF THE YEAR

This category specifically refers to the wedding cake and judges will be impressed by your ability, skill, uniqueness and flavour.

To be considered as a possible finalist or winner, you will need to provide the following information within the order it is presented to you below.  Please ensure you answer every point in full so that you qualify as an entry and present your business in the very best possible way. Remember to provide the full name, address and website address of your company.

In this category, we kindly ask that you provide us with two cake samples on the judging day that you have baked.  One must be a lemon cake and the other may be a flavour of your choice.  These are to be delivered to the judging day at Fennes Estate on Tuesday 13 October 2020.  You may also bring no more than two sample cake towers showing your work.  All entrants must have baked and decorated their own cakes.

 All entrants must have been trading for a minimum of 12 months at the time of judging (October 2020) and must be based in Essex.

 1. Describe your style and any unique skills you have that make you attractive to the couple.

2. Talk us through your consultation meeting with the couple. How you help them choose they style, colour scheme, size and flavour of the cake.

3. Tell us about your service, including set up with the venue, what additional accessories are available and any additional cost involved.

4. Talk us through how your deal with food allergies.

5. Please provide copies of your level 2 food safety in catering certificate.

6. Please provide brochures and marketing details and any testimonials you may have.
